‘Hope or Dope’ season 2 to premiere in May

Seezn original web drama series “Hope or Dope” (2022) is returning with a second season in May, the over-the-top streaming platform said Monday.

“Hope or Dope” follows Da-jung, played by actor Won Ji-an, who escapes to the countryside after being used as a drug mule by her parents. She meets a local boy Yoon-tak, played by actor Yoon Chan-young, and the two discover a field of marijuana plants.

The web series premiered on March 25.

According to Seezn, original content was viewed 240 percent more after “Hope or Dope” was released and paid subscriptions saw a substantial increase.

Won debuted with a minor role in the Netflix’s original series “D.P.” (2021) as Young-ok in episode three. Her first major role was in the romance film “A Year-end Medley” (2021) as Yi-young.
