Rookie girl group IVE held an online press conference at Blue Square Hall in Yongsan District, central Seoul, a few hours ahead of the release of its new single album "Love Dive" on Tuesday.

"Love Dive" is comprised of two tracks: the title track under the same name and "Royal."

Members Gaeul and Rei participated in writing the lyrics of the songs.

During the press conference, the group expressed surprise and gratitude regarding their success and quick rise to stardom.

"It was something we did not expect and we want to thank everyone," said IVE. "After we were finished with the promotional activities of our debut, we [the members] gave each other feedback and promised each other that we would continue to try hard."

IVE debuted in December 2021 with its single album "Eleven," which sold 152,229 copies in its first week, according to Korea’s album sales tracker Hanteo Chart. That was the highest number of copies sold by a debuting artist in Korea in 2021.

The music video for “Eleven” surpassed 35 million views on YouTube within four days.

"Love Dive" officially drops Tuesday at 6 p.m. on various music streaming platforms.

The group is comprised of members Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Wonyoung, Liz and Leeseo.
