Bang Si-hyuk, the founder of HYBE, will spearhead the debut of a new girl group, Lesserafim, under one of HYBE Labels’ affiliates, Source Music.

하이브의 설립자인 방시혁은 하이브 레이블의 계열사중 하나인 쏘스뮤직 아래 새로운 걸그룹 르세라핌의 데뷔를 지휘한다.

Source Music announced on Wednesday that Bang will be the head producer for Lesserafim’s debut project. Bang was the main producer who debuted BTS, Tomorrow X Together and Enhypen.

르세라핌의 데뷔 프로젝트에 방시혁이 총괄 프로듀서를 맡기로 했다고 쏘스뮤직이 수요일에 발표했다. 방시혁은 방탄소년단, 투모로우바이투게더 그리고 엔하이픈을 데뷔시킨 메인 프로듀서다.

“Anticipations are growing [for the new girl group Lesserafim] as Bang Si-hyuk, who helped turn K-pop boy band BTS into a world star, is in charge of producing the first girl group under HYBE Labels,” said Source Music in a statement, and asked that K-pop fans continue to show interest in the new group until the girls make a debut in May.

"케이팝 보이 밴드 방탄소년단을 월드 스타로 만드는 것을 도왔던 방시혁이 하이브 레이블에서 첫 번째 걸그룹 제작을 담당함에 따라 [새로운 걸그룹을 르세라핌에 대한] 기대가 커지고 있다"라고 쏘스뮤직이 발표문을 통해 말했다. 그리고 케이팝 팬들이 5월에 데뷔할 때까지 르세라핌에 지속적인 관심을 보여 달라고 요청했다.

On Monday, Source Music announced the name of the girl group — Lesserafim — and explained that it is an anagram of “I’m Fearless.”

anagram: 철자 순서를 바꾼 말
fearless: 두려움을 모르는, 용감한

쏘스뮤직은 걸그룹 르세라핌의 이름을 월요일에 발표하며 "나는 용감하다"의 철자 순서를 바꾼 말이라고 설명했다.

The label said Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chaewon, former members of now-disbanded girl group IZ*ONE which was formed by the hit Mnet idol audition show “Produce 48” (2018), will be part of the six-member girl group.
