Joohoney of boy band Monsta X tested positive for Covid-19, his agency Starship Entertainment said Sunday.
On Saturday, Joohoney took an at-home test after exhibiting symptoms of a sore throat, which came out positive, and then took a rapid antigen test.
He had received three jabs of the vaccine and currently only has a mild sore throat.
“All of his schedules have been halted and Joohoney is getting treatment from home,” Starship said in a statement.
Recently, other members Hyungwon, Kihyun, Minhyuk and I.M also tested positive for the virus, which postponed the release of the band’s new EP “Shape of Love” from April 11 to April 26.
No additional changes have been made to the release date.
Joohoney, whose real name is Lee Joo-heon, has been a member of Monsta X since its debut in 2015 with the EP "Trespass" (2015). The band was formed through Starship and Mnet’s music survival program “No.Mercy” (2014-15). Including Shownu, the band currently has six members.
It is known for songs like “Who Do U Love?” (2019), “Love Killa” (2020) and “You Problem” (2021).
Monsta X is also slated for a world tour titled “2022 Monsta X No Limit US Tour” starting May 21 in New York.
