Trot singer Song Ga-in will drop her third full-length album “Love Song” (translated) on April 21, her agency Pocketdol Studio said Friday.

It has been a year and four months since she released her second full-length album “Mong” (2020).

Song Ga-in debuted in 2012, but didn't find popularity until winning the first season of TV Chosun’s trot audition television show “Miss Trot” (2019-21). Following the success of the show, as well as its male spin-off “Mr. Trot” (2020), the trot genre has been proving popular again in Korea.

Trot is an upbeat genre of Korean pop music that peaked in popularity from the 1950s to 80s.
