BTS to release new album on June 10
BTS is set to release a new album on June 10, according to Big Hit Music on Sunday.
"BTS will be back with a new album on June 10," wrote the label on the fan community platform Weverse. "We will announce more details about the album in the future."
The band first hinted at its comeback in June on Saturday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
During the fourth and the last day of BTS's concert "Permission to Dance on Stage — Las Vegas," the band unveiled the date "2022.6.10," indicating that BTS may be releasing new music on this day.
"Permission to Dance on Stage — Las Vegas" was a four-day concert held in Las Vegas on April 8, 9, 15 and 16.
June 10 is also the date of the band's debut in 2013.
Last year, Big Hit Music announced the band's "official extended period of rest" and said that "after BTS's rest period, the band will be back to open a new chapter with a new album and concerts."
BTS released its latest singles "Butter" and "Permission to Dance" 11 months ago.
"Butter" topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 10 weeks in total, becoming the longest-reigning No. 1 song on the chart in 2021. It also recorded the most No. 1s by an Asian artist in Billboard history. BTS also topped the Billboard Hot 100 with "Permission to Dance."
