A concert centering around Korean indie music will be hosted in Lincoln Square in New York for the first time, the Korean Cultural Center New York announced Thursday.

Titled “K-Indie Music Night,” the concert will be hosted at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts’ outdoor venue Damrosch Park from 7:30 p.m. on July 27. Korean musicians Jannabi and byebyesea will perform.

“This show spotlights two of the genre’s best bands: Jannnabi, who specialize in lyrically wistful, vintage-pop artistry and the more new wave-inspired, three-piece modern rock collective byebyesea,” the Korean Cultural Center said.

Jannabi will perform its hit songs such as “For Lovers Who Hesitate” (2019) and “Summer” (2016), while byebyesea will perform songs such as “Starlight Shower” (2009).

Tickets are free of charge. Limited advance reservation will open on July 25.

The concert is presented by the Korean Cultural Center New York in collaboration with the Lincoln Center as part of the Lincoln center’s “Summer for the City.”
