HYBE's Bang Si-hyuk produces tracks for Le Sserafim's debut EP
The upcoming debut EP of new girl group Le Sserafim "Fearless" will showcase music produced by Bang Si-hyuk, a K-pop industry giant and the founder of HYBE.
According to the girl group's agency Source Music, an affiliate label of HYBE, on Monday, Bang, who is listed on the EP's tracklist as "hitman" Bang, has taken part in producing the EP's title track "Fearless" and the fourth track "The Great Mermaid."
Other prominent producers listed on Le Sserafim's debut album tracklist are Blvsh (pronounced Blush) who worked on BTS's song "Life Goes On" (2020) and American pop artist Destiny Rogers.
The EP's title track "Fearless" is comprised of alternative pop and punk sounds.
Other songs on Le Sserafim's debut album are: "The World Is My Oyster," "Blue Flame" and "Sour Grapes."
Le Sserafim's members Kim Chae-won and Huh Yun-jin wote the lyrics to the track "Blue Flame."
Le Sserafim is an anagram of “I’m Fearless,” symbolizing the girl group’s concept that it will venture out into the world without feeling afraid of others’ opinions.
The sextet consists of Sakura, Kim Ga-ram, Kim Chae-won, Hong Eun-chae, Kazuha and Huh Yun-jin. Sakura and Kim Chae-won are ex-members of IZ*ONE, a project girl group formed from Mnet’s K-pop survival program “Produce 48” (2018).
The group’s official debut is set for 6 p.m. on May 2. It will also hold an online and offline showcase at 8 p.m. the same day.
