First offline 'SMTOWN LIVE' in three years to be held in Tokyo

SM Entertainment’s signature annual festival “SMTOWN LIVE” will be held in Tokyo. It will be the first offline SMTOWN LIVE concert in three years.  
 
SM Entertainment announced Tuesday that “'SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU Express @Tokyo’ will be held at Tokyo Dome from Aug. 27 to 28.”  
 
An array of SM artists including Kangta; BoA; TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and Hyoyeon; Red Velvet; Super Junior; Exo's Kai, Suho and Chen; SHINee's Key, Minho and Onew; NCT, aespa, Raiden and Ginjo will make an appearance with performances and collaborations.  
 
The previous SMTOWN LIVE, which was held in January, was streamed live for free and was streamed 51 million times in 179 countries on its YouTube channel.  
 
Founded in 1995, SM Entertainment is one of the most prominent entertainment agencies in Korea along with JYP Entertainment, YG Entertainment and HYBE, handling the entire music making process from casting, training and producing. 
 
SMTOWN LIVE began touring across the world in 2008, stopping at different cities including New York, Paris, Los Angeles, Dubai, Tokyo, Beijing and Singapore.
