Actors Park Ho-san, Ye Su-jeong and Kim Su-jin have been cast for MBC’s upcoming drama series “Boar Hunt” (translated).

“Boar Hunt” is a mystery thriller revolving around ordinary townspeople living in the countryside. During a boar hunt, a person goes missing and mysteries surrounding each person are unveiled. Director Song Yeon-hwa, who co-directed MBC hits such as “The Red Sleeve” (2021) and “When I was the Most Beautiful” (2020), will take helm of the series.

Park, Ye, and Kim will portray the three protagonists.

Park will portray Young-soo, a man who goes up a mountain with his friends to catch a wild boar that has been damaging crops.

Kim will portray Young-soo’s wife Chae-jeong, who takes care of her family. On the day Young-soo goes up the mountain, their son goes missing.

Ye portrays a grandmother named Ok-soon who lost her son and daughter-in-law in a fire and lives with her grandson. She believes that one of the townspeople is the kidnapper and grows more suspicious of them when she starts to develop dementia.

“Boar Hunt” will air sometime in the latter half of this year.
