Jung Yu-ji, also known as UJi, is dropping out of the musical “Jekyll and Hyde” due to an ankle injury, Worldstar Entertainment said Friday.

“Doctors are advising that Jung should focus on treatment and we regret to tell you that she will be unable to perform in the remaining shows,” the agency said in a statement.

Jung played the role of Lucy Harris.

“Jekyll and Hyde” runs through May 8 at the Charlotte Theater in southern Seoul.

Jung is a former member of girl groups EXID and BESTie. After leaving BESTie in 2017, she has been acting in musicals such as “Notre-Dame de Paris” (2018), “A Better Tomorrow” (2019) and “Marie Antoinette” (2021).
