Versions with a 3.8-liter gasoline engine or a 2.2-liter diesel engine are available. The new Palisade was first shown at the 2022 New York International Auto Show last month.
One notable change is a unique grille. The grille is vertically connected to daytime running lights. Along with new LED headlamps, the eight-seat SUV has a sharper look.
The SUV is 4,995 millimeters (197 inches) long, 15 millimeters longer than the previous version.
A total of 10 airbags are used compared to nine in the past, Hyundai Motor said.
"The new Palisade comes with thicker sound absorbing materials, which guarantees more quietness inside the car," said a Hyundai spokesperson. "The car's suspension system has also been improved, which minimizes the vibration when driving at high speed."
The sticker price of the gasoline-powered SUV starts from 38.7 million won ($30,430), while the diesel version costs 1.5 million won more.
The price is about 2.6 million won higher than the previous version, around 7.2 percent, and Hyundai blamed the higher cost of raw materials.
Hyundai sold more than 50,000 Palisade SUVs every year since its introduction in late 2018. A total of 52,299 units were sold in 2019, 64,791 units in 2020 and 52,338 units in 2021, according to data provided by the Korean Automotive Manufacturers Association.
