From beast-like charisma to cute and cool boys, rookie boy band Omega X shows that its charms and talents have no limits with its first full-length album "Story Written in Music."

"This album's more sweet and youthful concept was something that our fans really wanted us to do and we wanted to try it as well," said member Hangyeom during the band's showcase for the album at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin District, eastern Seoul, on Wednesday. "We want to be known as a versatile band that can do everything," added member Jaehan. In its previous music, Omega, X had showcased more sexy and bold images.

With 13 tracks including the lead song "Play Dumb," "Story Written in Music" tells the story of Omega X since its debut. The band will celebrate its one-year anniversary on June 30.

"We wanted to incorporate all the highs and lows that we experienced while working as Omega X," said member Yechan. Member Jen added that the album also acts like the band's diary. "We tried to put down our feelings as truthfully as possible into this album," he said.

The 13 songs listed on the new album are vastly different and can be categorized as dance, hip-hop, R&B and ballad. It also has eight unit songs sung by a select few of the band, and three songs, including the lead track, that the members themselves composed and wrote the lyrics of.

The band said it has also prepared choreography for the tracks "Venus" and "Bounce With Me."

"It wasn't easy to record 13 songs and learn choreography to three songs in such a short period of time," said member Junghoon. "But everyone worked really hard and the members who were undertaking acting were especially busy."

Omega X's Jaehan and Yechan had been preparing for the album in tandem with filming a web drama based on the popular webtoon "A Shoulder To Cry On." It is set to air in September.

The band's comeback comes after only five months after it released its second EP "Love Me Like.”

Omega X said that they were able to grow into better K-pop artists while preparing for the album.

"I am originally a rapper, but as our band does not have specific positions for each member, I tried singing this time and I think I became a better vocalist through this opportunity," said member Sebin.

"I think we all became better dancers who can now quickly learn the choreography to dance songs," said Jaehyun.

"Story Written in Music" is set to be released at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Omega X debuted last year with its first EP “Vamos” and has released songs such as “What’s Goin’ On” (2021) and “Love Me Like” (2022). The band consists of 11 members — Jaehan, Hwichan, Sebin, Hangyeom, Taedong, Xen, Jehyun, Kevin, Junghoon, Hyuk and Yechan.
