A vehicle carrying five members of girl group fromis_9 was involved in a car crash on Saturday, with the group's agency Pledis Entertainment announcing Sunday that planned events to promote new EP "from our Memento Box" will need to be canceled.

According to the agency’s post on an official social media channel, a vehicle containing members Hayoung, Jiwon, Seoyeon, Chaeyoung and Jiheon was involved in a traffic accident, but nobody was seriously injured.

The five members and staff who were on board were promptly transported to the emergency room and underwent “thorough medical examination.”

“None of the members had broken bones, but medical professionals say they need consistent treatment due to muscular pain and contusions," the statement on social media said. "The five members will have to recover. We will see for the next few days, and going through their comeback activities right away will overstrain them, according to medical professionals.”

The group’s fifth EP “from our Memento Box” will drop on Monday as planned, but the online and offline showcases have been canceled.

“Recovering their health will be the priority when planning future activities,” Pledis added. “The members will flexibly participate in the upcoming schedules and may not be able to do the dance routine depending on how their conditions improve.”

The nine-member group was formed in 2017 through cable channel Mnet's audition program "Idol School" and debuted the following year. “from our Memento Box” recently set a new high for the girl group after selling 160,000 copies in preorders.
