Seventeen kicked off its third world tour in Seoul, entertaining an audience of 35,000 over the weekend.

“Seventeen World Tour [Be The Sun]” held its opening night on Saturday at Gocheok Sky Dome in southern Seoul's Guro District, and another concert at the same venue on Sunday. Each run was attended by 17,500 fans of the boy band, dubbed Carat, who greeted the band's first in-person concert in two years and four months with roaring cheers.

The thirteen-member group started the Seoul concerts with "Hot," the lead track of its latest album "Face the Sun." The fourth full-length album, "Face the Sun" dropped on May 27, sold over 2.2 million copies and reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, setting a new high in the boy band's seven-year career.

The large four-story venue was filled with the applause and chants of the fans.

"It's been two years and a half since we last had an offline concert with Carat because of the pandemic," said Seungkwan during Sunday's concert.

Seventeen’s first world tour in 2019 saw later concerts canceled due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"After yesterday's first concert, the members were so excited and feeling great. We stayed like that until we went to bed."

Jeonghan, who underwent elbow surgery less than two weeks ago, performed while wearing a cast.

"You guys must be upset that you're seeing me after such a long time and my arm is like this," Jeonghan told the audience jokingly. "Let's see how upset you are. Shout loudly if you are upset!"

The dome instantly filled with the fans' supportive shouts, with the group proceeding to perform its greatest hits including "Very Nice" (2016), “Ready to Love” (2021) and "Darl+ing" (2022).

Toward the end of Sunday's concert, the group made a surprise announcement through a video clip that it will release the repackaged version of "Face the Sun" on July 18, titled "Sector 17."
