SHINee member Onew has decided to add two more concerts to his upcoming solo tour in Japan.
Onew’s label SM Entertainment said Tuesday that he will perform two more concerts in Japan, presenting a total of eight concerts during his first tour in Japan as a solo artist. The decision was made as all tickets for his “ONEW Japan 1st Concert Tour 2022 ~Life goes on~” sold out as soon as they went on sale.
The tour kicks off on July 8, stopping at four cities — Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka. The two added concerts will be held on Sept. 10 and 11 at the Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo.
Onew is preparing to release his first full-length album “Life Goes On” on July 6 in Japan.
The album will include 10 tracks, including four covers of famous Japanese songs: Kirakira (2002) by Kazumasa Oda; Uroko (2007) by Motohiro Hata; "Dreams Come True" (2014) by Yasashii Kiss Wo Shite; and "Everything" (2001) by Misia.
Onew's cover of Kazumasa's Kirakira was pre-released on May 18 through various music streaming platforms.
Onew debuted in 2008 as a member of SHINee, a boy band best known for “Ring Ding Dong” (2009), “Lucifer” (2010) and “Sherlock (Clue + Note)” (2012). He started his solo career in 2018 with an EP titled “Voice." His latest music is an EP titled "Dice." It was released last month.
