Won-dollar exchange rate hits 1,320 for first time in more than 13 years

The won-dollar exchange rate broke the 1,320 won mark for the first time in 13 years and two months Friday morning.
 
On the Seoul foreign exchange market, the exchange rate of the won against the dollar was 1,320.2 won per dollar at 9:07 a.m. Friday, down 8.1 won from the previous day’s closing price.
 
It is the first time since April 30, 2009 that the exchange rate has fallen past the 1,320-won level. The exchange rate on April 30, 2009 was 1,325 won.
