Hana Group starts second women's leadership program

Hana Financial Group kicked off a second round of a women’s leadership program.
 
Hana Financial Group announced Thursday it was continuing the Hana Waves project, which aims to elevate the role of women in its workplace. The first round started in June 2021.  
 
Hana Waves offers group mentoring, online MBA classes and participants are given assignments to help them develop into leaders. 
 
A total of 36 people were selected from the banking group's affiliates to join the program after they were recommended by their respective CEOs. The program lasts throughout the end of the year.  
 
At the inaugural ceremony that took place in central Seoul on Wednesday, Hana Financial Group Chairman Ham Young-joo said the role of women leaders will become more important in the rapidly changing finance industry. 
 
Hana Financial Group said it will strive to develop new leaders with leadership and knowledge of business.
