The embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Seoul hosted a forum designed to introduce investment information on the UAE at the Grand Hyatt Seoul in central Seoul on Wednesday.

The event, co-hosted by the UAE government and the Korea International Trade Association, was attended by government officials from both countries and people from investment companies.

The embassy said more incentives for Korean companies operating businesses in the UAE are under discussion. The UAE currently offers discounts on corporate taxes to Korean companies operating in the country.

The UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi said the forum will function as an important platform that encourages investment in both countries' private sectors.

Trade Minister Ahn Duk-geun said in the opening address, the “global supply chain crisis can be efficiently overcome when Korea’s excellent manufacturing capacity and the UAE’s capital are met.”

Ambassador of the UAE to Korea Abdulla Saif Al Nuaimi, said the forum will strengthen the investment momentum of the two countries.
