Covid cases at 71,170 Thursday, surpassing 70,000 for 4th straight day

New confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Korea reached 71,170 Thursday morning, the fourth consecutive day for cases to surpass the 70,000 mark.
Health officials announced additional measures Wednesday to counter the rise in confirmed cases over the past number of weeks.
The accumulative total of confirmed cases in Korea surpassed 19 million, recording 19,009,080.
