Korea's new Covid-19 cases fall below 40,000

A total of 35,883 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 were recorded Monday, falling below the 40,000 mark but still up more than 9,000 from the previous Monday.
The average of confirmed cases in the past week reached 65,655, while the accumulative total of confirmed cases in Korea was 19,077,659.
There are 144 Covid-19 patients in serious condition as of Monday, while the number of deaths from the previous day is 17.
