Covid-19 cases break 100,000 for first time in three months in Korea

New confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Korea rose above the 100,000 mark for the first time in three months with 100,285 cases recorded Wednesday.
 
This raises the average number of confirmed cases over the past week to 72,735.
 
This comes as a relatively small jump from Tuesday's 99,327 new cases, which leapt from the 35,883 cases recorded Monday.
 
The number of patients in serious condition rose to 177 from the previous day’s 168, while 25 deaths were recorded.
