Jiho, former member of Oh My Girl, signed a new contract with P&Studio on Wednesday, signaling the start of her acting career.

“We have signed an exclusive contract with Jiho,” said P&Studio. “She will be using her real name Gong Ji-ho to begin her acting career. We will fully support her so that she can showcase her talent as an actor.”

Actors Sung Yu-bin and Park Hyung-sik are represented by P&Studio.

When Oh My Girl’s contract came to an end in May, other members Hyojung, Mimi, YooA, Seunghee, Yubin and Arin all renewed their contracts with WM Entertainment, the label that created the girl group. However, Jiho did not renew the contract and announced that she will leave the girl group to “pursue her new dreams.”

Jiho, who debuted as a member of Oh My Girl in 2015, was with the label for the past seven years. The girl group was initially a team of eight before member JinE left in 2017.

Oh My Girl will continue its activities as a six-member group.
