Schools in Seoul will maintain face-to-face classes in the second semester despite the resurgence of Covid-19 in the country.

The schools will be provided with 1.12 million kits for rapid antigen testing, according to Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Superintendent Cho Hee-yeon on Tuesday.

Around four to six employees of the education office will be sent to each school to assist in the implementation of pandemic safety measures.

The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education will also expand psychological and mental support for students who have been affected by the pandemic.

It will particularly focus on third and fourth-year students for mental health support.

“There have been more cases being reported related to conflicts within grade three and four classes after the pandemic,” said Cho.

“We will mainly focus on these students and provide support.”
