Lotte Finance Vietnam, a subsidiary of Lotte Card, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Vietnam’s e-commerce company Tiki to introduce the buy now, pay later (BNPL) service to the Vietnamese market, said the company on Thursday.

Tiki is Vietnam’s e-commerce marketplace with over 20 million users.

The service will be released in the latter half.

“The business agreement marks the beginning of the partnership between two companies, and in the long run a synergy between Korean finance and Vietnam’s e-commerce business,” said Kim Jong-geuk, CEO of Lotte Finance Vietnam.
