Hyundai Motor Group opens driving experience center in Taean
The HMG Driving Experience Center is on 1.26 million square meters of land and also features a two-story customer center.
The driving experience offers eight courses including braking, acceleration, drift, slalom and off-road. High-speed driving tests are also possible with maximum speeds of 250 kilometers per hour.
The center is owned by Hankook Tire and Technology, and Hyundai rents it. The size of the center is equal to 125 football fields, the company said.
Customers will be able to experience Hyundai, Kia and Genesis vehicles at the center starting Sept. 16. The center is likely to attract 15,000 visitors per year.
The company held an opening ceremony Wednesday with Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung, Kim Tae-heum, governor of South Chungcheong, and Hankook and Company Group Chairman Cho Hyun-bum.
“At the HMG Driving Experience Center, which has the longest track in Asia, Hyundai will offer new and innovative driving experience to visitors,” Chung said.
