Jung Woo-sung is set to return to the small screen after a decade with a new drama series tentatively titled “Tell Me You Love Me” (translated).

Jung takes on the role of a hearing-impaired artist named Cha Jin-woo who is more adept at conveying his emotions through drawings instead of words. The series is a romance story revolving around him and Jung Mo-eun, portrayed by Shin Hyun-been.

Jung last starred in JTBC drama series “Padam Padam” (2011) with Han Ji-min. Although Jung briefly appeared in the last four episodes of SBS drama series “Delayed Justice” in 2020 as a replacement for the role portrayed by Bae Seong-woo, who stepped down from the role due to his alleged drunk driving, this will be the first time for Jung to return to the small screen in a lead role.

Bae is represented by Artist Company, an actor management agency run by Jung and Lee Jung-jae.

Jung recently returned to Korea from the Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday with Lee, as Jung's directorial debut “A Man of Reason” and Lee’s directorial debut “Hunt” were invited to screen at the event. Jung also stars as a lead role in Lee’s film.

“Tell Me You Love Me” is adapted from the popular Japanese original drama with the same title, which was aired on local broadcaster TBS in 1995. Producer Kim Yoon-jin behind SBS romantic series “Our Beloved Summer” (2021-22) and writer Kim Min-jung behind KBS’s “Love in the Moonlight” (2016) and Netflix original series “The Sound of Magic” (2022) collaborated for the upcoming series.

According to the series’ production company Studio N, the series will begin filming by the end of this year. The channel and platforms on which the series will be made available has not been undecided as of yet.
