Korea's Kospi falls below 2,200 for first time in 2 years and 2 months

The Kospi on Tuesday fell 2,200 intraday for the first time in two years and two months.
 
At 12:24 p.m. Tuesday, the Kopsi was down 21.15 points, or 0.95 percent, from the previous trading day, slipping to 2,199.78. This is the first time the index fell below the 2,200-mark since July 24, 2020, when it hit 2,195.49.
 
As of 12:40 p.m., foreigners had net sold off more than 180 billion won of shares.
