Seoul Beauty Month runs from Sept. 30 to Nov. 2

The city of Seoul is set for a festive October, as it hosts the Seoul Beauty Month festival, featuring Korean cosmetics, music and taste.

According to the Seoul Metropolitan Government on Tuesday, Seoul Beauty Month will be held from Sept. 30 through Nov. 2. The Beauty Month will be organized in 10 parts under three themes: industry, travel/tourism, and culture.

“Seoul Beauty Week” will open the city festival. Taking place from Sept. 30 through Oct. 2 at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in central Seoul, it is a large global beauty fair with famous beauty brands and industry experts and beauty influencers.

“Seoul Fashion Week” (Oct. 11 to 15), with more than 40 fashion shows, returns on site for the first time in three years since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. “Seoul Design 2022” (Oct. 19 to Nov. 2) will include exhibitions, forums and design markets presenting the latest design trends.

“Taste of Seoul”, a seven-day food festival, will present foods of Seoul from Sept. 30 through Oct. 6.

Celebrating its third year, there will be an awards ceremony and a gala dinner. The festival suggests the top 100 restaurants and bars, as well as 50 plant-based restaurants, all picked by gourmet curators. There are also events to experience traditional markets and popular food establishments.

At Nodeul Island, “Seoul Music Festival 2022” is slated for Oct. 13 to 16. Popular K-pop artists, including Jeong Se-woon, Beak Z Young, N.Flying, Kim Jae-hwan and Ailee, will give concerts. All seats are free, while reservations can be made from 10 a.m. Wednesday via Naver. Aside from music concerts, a booth where visitors can get a personal color analysis recommendation as well as a talk concert are also scheduled.
