KakaoTalk is not delivering some messages, according to users on Tuesday afternoon.
They said the glitch occurred around 2:10 p.m. as messages were not sent or were delayed.
Social media posts detailed the disruption, which was later confirmed by the company.
Kakao said via social media that it was aware of the problem and was working to fix the error.
The company's stock, which is down 51 percent this year, fell 1.75 percent in trading Tuesday.
