Set course teppanyaki menu at Tamayura, a Japanese restaurant in JW Marriott Hotel Seoul in Seocho District, southern Seoul [JW MARRIOTT HOTEL SEOUL]

Announcement: Tamayura, the luxury Japanese dining destination at JW Marriott Hotel Seoul, greets the deepening days of autumn with an authentic set-course teppanyaki menu showcasing the finest seasonal ingredients this November.

The highlight of the epicurean eight-course dinner is a main of Korea’s finest grade Woorungchan hanwoo beef tenderloin, grilled to perfection on an iron hotplate, while diners are greeted with a welcome dish of sakizuke with sweet black truffle and port sauce. Autumn pine mushroom shabu-shabu, served with hanwoo sirloin, showcases Tamayura’s signature plating, evoking Biwa, Japan’s biggest lake, with a sailing boat and reflected moon, offering a feast for the eyes and palate alike. Other courses include shellfish and tomato bisque, crafted from fresh seasonal shellfish and rich tomato bisque sauce; live abalone fried in butter, made from deliciously tender Wando abalone; and seasonal sherbet. The rice course brings fried rice with seasonal mushrooms, combining a selection of seasonal mushrooms with Tamayura’s own special sauce, while perfectly-aged melon and sweet Monaka ice cream made with monaka skins sourced directly from Japan.

The main lunch course is Woorungchan hanwoo grade 1++ striploin served with roast autumn vegetables, amendable to Tenderloin for a supplementary price. Other teppanyaki dishes cooked to order include seasonal fish and shellfish and tomato bisque, served as a soup.

Autumn Teppanyaki is available until Nov. 30, priced at 160,000 won for lunch and 250,000 won for dinner. Prices are inclusive of tax and service charges.

Tamayura serves authentic Japanese cuisine celebrating the natural flavors of every fresh seasonal ingredient. Seven private dining rooms of various sizes, an eight-seat sushi counter, an eight-seat teppanyaki station, and a six-seat tea bar offer ideal options for private, small-scale occasions.
