Girl group Red Velvet is topping iTunes charts across the world with its new EP "The ReVe Festival 2022 – Birthday."

According to its entertainment agency SM Entertainment on Tuesday, the EP landed at No. 1 on the iTunes Top Album chart in 44 countries including Canada, Ukraine, Brazil and Portugal, since its release on Monday evening.

It also ranked first on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, European iTunes Album Chart and the Digital Album chart of China's QQ Music.

"The ReVe Festival 2022 – Birthday" is the second part of Red Velvet’s “The ReVe Festival” series, which kicked off with EP “The ReVe Festival 2022 - Feel My Rhythm" released in March.

The previous EP’s lead track “Feel My Rhythm” saw great success on music streaming charts in Korea and around the world, including topping the iTunes Top albums chart in 41 regions and the digital album sales chart on China’s QQ Music.

The new EP sold over 710,000 copies in pre-orders as of Monday, already surpassing the first-week sales of the group’s previous “The ReVe Festival 2022 - Feel My Rhythm."

The EP's lead track is titled "Birthday." It also features tracks “Bye Bye,” “On A Ride,” “ZOOM” and “Celebrate."

Red Velvet debuted in 2014 and consists of five members: Irene, Wendy, Seulgi, Joy and Yeri. It is best known for hits such as “Ice Cream Cake” (2015), “Russian Roulette” (2016), “Red Flavor” (2017), “Power Up” (2018) and “Queendom” (2021).
