E-commerce companies are using a dispute between Coupang and CJ CheilJedang as a marketing opportunity.

Gmarket and Auction will be offering discounts on all CJ CheilJedang products through Dec. 11. Customers will get up to 35 percent off.

SSG.com is cutting prices of CJ CheilJedang products on Friday by up to 45 percent, while WeMakePrice will be offering discounts on the products of up to 30 percent.

The promotions come after Coupang stopped buying products from CJ CheilJedang. It said that the food company failed to supply the contracted amount of food products and that this reduced efficiency at the company's fulfilment centers.

Orders ceased in November, and Coupang is now just selling what it has in inventory.

CJ CheilJedang claims it tried its best to supply as much as possible amid a surge in demand, with Coupang suddenly stopping orders after its request to supply products at an unreasonably low price was turned down.

Market Kurly said it will put CJ CheilJedang products on sale from Thursday, although the discount amount hasn't been announced. TMON said it is in talks with CJ CheilJedang to have a sale soon.

Gmarket will host a live stream event on Wednesday, offering a 20 percent discount for select CJ CheilJedang products, such as Hetbahn, Spam and Bibigo Beef Bone Soup.
