Actors Lee Sun-kyun, Moon Chae-won to star in SBS series 'Payback'

“Parasite” star Lee Sun-kyun and Moon Chae-won will star in SBS’s upcoming drama series “Payback.”

The series tells of a revenge story revolving around a hedge fund manager who fights against unjust powers.

Lee portrays the protagonist Su-wan, a hedge fund manager working overseas. Due to an incident, he returns to his hometown in Korea and starts his revenge, risking everything he has.

Moon portrays Joon-kyung, an army major and elite judicial officer who helps Su-wan fight against injustice.

Screenwriter Kim Won-seok behind KBS2’s “Descendants of the Sun” (2016) and MBC’s “Queen of the Classroom” (2013) and director Lee Won-tae behind 2019 film “The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil” took the helm of the series.

The series will begin airing on Jan. 6.
