Prosecutors summon owner of Hwacheon Daeyu for questioning
Prosecutors summoned Kim Man-bae, the owner of Hwacheon Daeyu, an asset management company at the center of a high-profile corruption scandal, for questioning Friday morning.
The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office decided to resume its investigation, 23 days after it was halted due to Kim's suicide attempt.
Kim had been hospitalized after attempting to take his own life in his car in Gyeonggi on Dec. 14.
He is at the center of the Daejang-dong corruption scandal and is standing trial on charges of bribery, embezzlement and breach of trust.
He was arrested in November last year but released shortly after as his detention period expired.
