Korean Air will resume flying to four major cities in Europe — Prague, Zurich, Istanbul and Madrid — in a few weeks.

Those routes were suspended in March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Korean Air announced Friday it will resume flights from Incheon to Prague and Zurich from late March, and flights to Istanbul and Madrid from late April. All routes will be operated three times weekly.

Those cities are some of Europe's top cultural destinations, which attracted many Korean tourists before the pandemic, the flag carrier said.

The carrier will fly the Incheon-Prague route every Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting March 27. Flights between Incheon and Zurich will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from March 28.

Incheon-Istanbul flights will run every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from April 24. Flights between Incheon and Madrid will operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from April 25.

The carrier is already flying to Paris, London, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Milan, Rome, Vienna, Budapest and Tel Aviv in Europe.

"In the post-pandemic era, we plan to actively respond to growing demand for overseas travel," a spokesperson for Korean Air said. "The restoration of the routes will serve as a green light for the recovery of long-distance travel."
