Virtual girl group MAVE: will debut on Jan. 25, according to its agency Metaverse Entertainment.
 
The virtual girl group’s first EP, “Pandora’s Box” will have two songs: the lead song “Pandora” and “Wonderland (Idypia).”
 
The four members of the group — MARTY:, TYRA:, ZENA: and SIU: — were unveiled Jan. 11.
 
The group’s name MAVE: is said to have come from “Make New Wave,” showing their ambition to make new waves in the K-pop scene.
 
The group has an eccentric fictional storyline that centers around the members coming from the future and crash landing on Earth, trying to find the freedom of emotions.
 
Metaverse Entertainment is a subsidiary of game publisher Netmarble, owned 50 percent by Netmarble F&C and 40 percent by Kakao Entertainment. Founded in August 2021, Metaverse Entertainment specializes in metaverse-related businesses.
