Korea will ease its indoor mask mandate starting Jan. 30.
 
Prime Minister Han Duk-soo announced Friday that the indoor mask mandate will be downgraded to a recommendation. 
 
However, people will still have to wear masks when using public transport and visiting medical and welfare facilities.
