Fire breaks out in fiber factory in Daegu, no casualties reported

A fire broke out in a fiber factory in Seongseo Industrial Complex in Daegu, southern Korea at 6:50 a.m. on Tuesday.
 
Firefighters are having difficulty putting out the blaze as it has spread to a nearby factory.
 
No casualties have been reported.  
 
Fire authorities issued a level one emergency response alert at 7:05 a.m. and raised it to level two at 7:29 a.m.
 
Under a level one emergency response alert, all fire personnel from the assigned fire station are mobilized. Under level two, five or six additional fire stations nearby join the efforts with personnel and equipment.
 
Currently about 200 personnel and 60 vehicles are at the site.
 
Prime Minister Han Duk-soo instructed the Minister of Interior and Safety, Mayor of Daegu, Commissioner Generals of National Police Agency and Fire Agency to utilize all available equipment and manpower to extinguish the fire.
 
Han urged them to make sure there is no secondary damage to residents and to coordinate with district authorities on safety measures.
