Girl group Twice revealed its first subunit, MiSaMo.
MiSaMo will make its debut with its first EP in Japan on July 26, according to the group’s agency JYP Entertainment on Thursday.
The subunit consists of the three Japanese members of the group, Mina, Sana and Momo. The name MiSaMo comes from the first two letters of the members' names.
Fans and the members of the group themselves have often used the term MiSaMo to refer to the three Japanese members.
Mina, Sana and Momo released “Bouquet” on Jan. 25 as a part of the soundtrack for TV Asahi’s television series “Liaison –Children’s Heart Clinic—" (translated), which topped Japan’s Line Music daily and weekly charts after the release.
Twice released its English single, “Moonlight Sunrise” in advance on Jan. 20, which landed No. 84 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The group will follow up with its new EP “Ready To Be” on March 10.
