BigHit Music will hold global auditions to find trainees for a new boy band, the agency said last Friday.

“BigHit Music New Boy Group Audition” is open to any male born between 2005 and 2013, regardless of nationality or place of residence.

Offline auditions will take place beginning in five Japanese cities — Sapporo, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo — in March, then in seven Korean cities — Jeju, Busan, Daejeon, Daegu, Incheon, Gwangju and Seoul — in April.

There will also be online auditions for those who cannot attend the in-person auditions.

There are no specific auditioning categories. Applicants will be given an opportunity to “show your charms, in any categories, such as [taking] selfies, fashion, sports, acting and more,” said the agency.

Applications opened last Friday and will remain open until April 23.

Boy bands BTS and Tomorrow X Together are both currently under BigHit Music.
