Blackpink to return to Bangkok for two encore performances

Girl group Blackpink will return to Bangkok for two encore performances on May 27 and 28, according to its agency YG Entertainment on Wednesday.

The two-day encore concert will be held at the Rajamangala National Stadium, the largest stadium in Thailand.

Blackpink performed in Bangkok as a part of its world tour on Jan 7 and 8 at the Suphachalasai National Stadium. It was the girl group’s first Asian destination on its world tour outside Korea. Both days of the concert were sold out, with the band meeting over 85,000 fans across the weekend.

The girl group’s second world tour, “Blackpink World Tour [Born Pink],” started in 2022 with performances in KSPO Dome on October 15 and 16. Blackpink visited 14 cities and held 24 performances in European and North American destinations last year. It is continuing the tour this year, making stops across Asia.

Blackpink performed in Saudi Arabia on Jan 20, marking the girl group’s debut concert in the Middle East.
