Summoners War: Chronicles by Com2uS to be released in 170 countries

Com2uS’s massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG) Summoners War: Chronicles will be released in 170 countries on March 9.

The title is based off on the intellectual property (IP) of game publisher’s hit Summoners War: Sky Arena, which recorded over 180 million downloads across the globe.

The MMORPG was released last August in Korea, and in North America in November. It can be played on mobile and PC.

The title will be available in 14 languages, including English, German, French, Japanese, Chinese and Thai.

The game publisher has set an ambitious goal, to generate 100 billion won ($76.8 million) in sales, with the global launch of Summoners War: Chronicles. Com2uS’s Summoners War: Sky Arena is reported to generate over 300 billion won in sales per year and 120 billion won in sales for its mobile game series Pro Baseball.

“Summoners War: Chronicles will soon meet users outside of North America as well,” said Han Ji-hoon, head of the game business. “As the service expands worldwide, it’s an opportunity to prove the power of the IP of Summoners War. We’ll do our best for the title to join the club of game series that generate over 100 billion won in sales this year.”
