Park Min-hyuk, otherwise known as Rocky of boy band Astro, will leave the band and his agency Fantagio after seven years together.

"After careful talks with Rocky, he has decided to end his exclusive contract with the company and his activities as a member of Astro," Fantagio said on Tuesday.

"We thank him for the effort he has put in as a member of Astro and wish him the best in his career to come."

Park debuted in 2015 as an actor and then started a career in singing when Astro debuted in 2016. He has been taking part in various dramas and musicals since.

Last November, he was rumored to be dating actor Park Bo-yeon. While his agency said it was true, her agency said that they were just colleagues then released no further statement.

Astro will continue as a five-member group but members will focus on solo activities for the time being.

Member Cha Eun-woo is actively pursuing his acting career and members Moonbin and Sanha have formed a subunit duo to release music.
