BTS member Jimin’s past solo releases “Promise” (2018) and “Christmas Love” (2020) landed at No. 1 on iTunes in multiple countries on Tuesday.

Both songs, originally released via SoundCloud, were re-released on music streaming and online music distribution sites on Monday.

“The increased popularity of the two past solo releases is based on the anticipation of Jimin’s upcoming solo album,” the singer's agency BigHit Music said Tuesday.

“Promise” landed at No. 1 on the iTunes Chart of 51 different countries and regions, including Sweden, Norway, Greece, Finland and more on Tuesday, while “Christmas Love” ranked at No. 1 in 17 different countries and regions on the iTunes Chart, including Japan, Singapore, Argentina, Ecuador, Argentina and more.

The first song to be composed and written by Jimin, “Promise,” was originally released on SoundCloud on the last day of December 2018 as a surprise gift by Jimin to the fans of the band.

The song garnered over 200 million hits three days after its release on SoundCloud.

“Christmas Love,” also released on SoundCloud on Dec. 24, 2020, also gained a lot of popularity, reaching No. 1 on the Hot & New chart on SoundCloud during the week of its release.

Jimin will release his first physical solo album, “FACE” on March 24. He will be the fourth member of the boy band to release a solo album, following J-Hope, Jin and RM.
