Covid tests to be scrapped for travelers from China, Hong Kong, Macau
Starting Saturday, people traveling from China, Hong Kong and Macau will no longer have to take a Covid-19 test before entering Korea.
The Korean quarantine authority announced Wednesday that the pre-departure test results required from anyone traveling from those three regions will be lifted.
“The Covid-19 situation in China has continued to remain stable since the Chinese New Year holidays,” said Lim Sook-young, director of the infectious disease crisis response bureau at the Central Disease Control Headquarters. “And there have been no new variants of concern.”
