Girl group Twice opens Twice Square virtual universe on Roblox metaverse

Girl group Twice launched its virtual universe, Twice Square, on the metaverse platform Roblox on March 8, according to JYP Entertainment and Roblox.
Twice Square, as the first fan hub launched on the platform, “allows fans to communicate deeper and connect with Twice through the interactive experiences [on the hub],” said the press release on Thursday.
The square will be an expansion of the existing fictional universe of the girl group, which includes shops that sells Twice-inspired in-game items, a “Set Me Free” escape room mini-game and a Twice-themed trivia challenge.
The square will be updated with new features throughout the year, according to Roblox.
Twice will release its upcoming EP “Ready to Be” on March 10, with the lead track “Set Me Free.” The teaser for the music video released on Monday showed the nine members removing their makeup, an unconventional move for an idol group.
The girl group will also begin its fifth world tour, “Ready To Be,” starting in Seoul on April 15 and 16, hosting 17 concerts in 14 cities total.
