The Incheon Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders won the 2022-23 V League title on Wednesday with a 3-0 victory over the Hwaseong IBK Altos, taking the trophy with a game still left to be played.

인천 흥국생명 핑크스파이더스가 수요일 화성 IBK 기업은행 알토스를 상대로 3-0 승리를 거두며 마지막 한 경기를 남기고 2022-23 V리그 우승 트로피를 들어올렸다.

The Pink Spiders went nine points clear on top of the table with 79 after Wednesday’s win against the Altos at Hwaseong Gymnasium in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi, locking in the league title before their last game on Sunday.

핑크스파이더스는 수요일 경기도 화성시에 위치한 화성실내체육관에서 얻은 승리로 인해 승점 79점, 선두 자리에서 승점을 9점 차이로 벌리며 일요일 마지막 경기에 앞서 리그 타이틀을 확보했다.

The Incheon side only needed one point in Wednesday’s game to win the league, which would have been possible even with a 3-2 loss as V League rules stipulate that a team that loses 3-2 also takes one point.

핑크스파이더스는 리그 우승을 위해 수요일 경기에서 승점 1점만이 필요했다. 2-3으로 패한 팀도 1점을 확보하는 V리그 규정에 의해 이들은 이 날 2-3 패배로도 우승이 가능했다.

The Pink Spiders, however, were out in full force from the beginning as they grabbed the first set 25- 15. They did not back down in the second set either, winning 25-13, followed by another win in the third set 25-16 to secure the coveted league title.

핑크스파이더스는 그러나 초반부터 전력으로 나서며 1세트를 25-15로 잡았다. 이들은 2세트에도 양보하지 않고 25-13으로 승리했고, 3세트도 25-16으로 승리하며 갈망했던 리그 우승을 얻어냈다.

This is the Pink Spiders’ first league title since the 2018-19 season, when they also won the championship.

championship: 챔피언 결정전

핑크스파이더스가 리그 우승을 한 것은 이들이 챔피언결정전에서도 우승했던 2018-19 시즌 이후 처음이다.
