Nmixx's lead track for its first EP “expérgo" is more “approachable.”

The girl group introduced "Love Me Like This" during a showcase on Monday at the Yes24 Hall in Gwangjin District, eastern Seoul.

“Lead track 'Love Me Like This,' while distinctly Nmixx, is a more laid-back approach to the 'mixxpop' genre so it can be more easily approached by the general public. 'Young, Dumb, Stupid' on the other hand, is a full-on mix-pop track,” said member Lily during the showcase.

“We worked hard to show our unique colors ever since our debut, trying to express and further build on our core identity. We believe that our fans will love the six-member Nmixx and continue to support us,” Haewon said.

Mixxpop is the girl group’s own approach to merging multiple genres and styles of music. Nmixx’s previous releases, “O.O” (2022) and “Dice” (2022), both saw commercial success in terms of CD sales but received mixed reviews due to their unorthodox music structures and lyrics.

The EP, which dropped Monday, has six tracks with varying genres of music: lead track “Love Me Like This,” a “mixx between bouncy rap and R&B-styled vocals”, pre-released single “Young, Dumb, Stupid” which combines a popular children's song with hip-hop sounds, “Paxxword” which mixes powerful and groovy vocals together, “Just Did It,” an upbeat pop track, “My Gosh” which has a softer feeling and “Home” which mixes hip-hop beats with Nmixx’s vocals.

The girl group was also confident and honest about its new lead track.

"I liked the song ever since I first heard it [...] Our goal this time is winning No.1 on a weekly music show so that we can show off our live performances and harmonies during the encore stage for the winners," said Kyujin.

Nmixx debuted in February last year as a seven-member girl group with Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jinni, Jiwoo and Kyujin. The agency announced the departure of one member, Jinni, in December 2022 due to “personal reasons.” Jinni, whose real name is Choi Yoon-jin, opened her personal Instagram account last Saturday, 100 days after her departure from the group.
