British-Australian singer-songwriter Ruel, who composed and sang the hit track “Painkiller,” will visit Korea again this coming May for a second solo concert in Seoul.

Ruel, whose full name is Ruel Vincent van Dijk, rose to fame after his single “Don’t Tell Me” was praised by Elton John who called him “a 14-year-old with the most astonishing voice and a huge future.”

In April 2017, Ruel signed with M-Phazes, a producer well known for having produced many of Eminem’s albums. The singer-songwriter then released hit albums “Ready” (2018) and “Free Time” (2019). “Painkiller” from “Free Time” reached No. 52 on the Gaon chart in Korea and swept charts in Australia.

Ruel visited Korea for the first time in 2018 for promotional events and took part in radio and online content and magazine photo shoots. HE released “Not Thinkin’ Bout You” based on the time he spent in Korea, with the music video for the song including shots from his tour of the country.

Ruel released his debut full-length album “4th Wall” on March 3 this year and is visiting Korea as part of the Asian leg of a world tour.

Ruel will perform at Yes24 Live Hall on May 16 at 8 p.m. Tickets for the performance will be available from April 5 at noon on the official reservation site, Yes24 Ticket.
